MONTBELL BOX BAFFLED ALPINE 800 EX DOWN PARKA US XL

I bought this beauty about 10 years ago and never had an opportunity to wear it due to rapid warming in my part of the world and advancing age. This model is still sold by Montbell, with minor changes. The current price is $365.

This parka is hip length and roomy enough that I can wear a fleece or light down layer under it. I normally wear a medium or large. I weighed it on my digital scale at just under 18 ounces. My estimated temperature rating is 10F. I intended to wear an insulating layer under it and a W/B shell over it, which I feel would make the combination warm enough for -10F to -20F, depending upon the level of exertion.

This is not the parka for driving to the mall. This is the parka for getting outside at altitude, miles from civilization.
