In the days when you were always greeted with a friendly smile, given an outstanding, professional and knowledgeable service, and when every single purchase counted ?
Where the sellers good manners, honesty, humour and integrity, made you feel valued and genuinely cared for ?
Where you could trust that they always tried hard; to give you a fair deal, and do their very best for you.
With over forty years of family retail experience, at calidoreco.reads, those simple, good retail values, are what we live by. We love and enjoy what we do. So we want all of our customers to share in that experience as well. All of the above is what we want as a customer, so why would we expect you to put up offres with anything less ?
We are a small, independent and caring book seller, and bibliophile, reliant on the kind support of our customers. We are NOT a huge, faceless conglomerate, hoovering up books for resale, and with little regard for their customers.
Therefore:
*We take pride, care and time to find the items we list; hoping our customers will always find something that they like too.
*As such, we never just list a lovely product, as if it were merely a commodity; giving the customer no true or real idea as to what it actually looks like, or worse, provide you with a system generated, often incorrect, description. From our own experience, that might help the seller...but its doing very little for you, the buyer.
Our genuine hope is that you find your purchase(s) as precious as we did.
*We pride ourselves on the honesty and accuracy of our listings.
*We always provide multiple, original photographs, of the actual item being listed. You always know what you are buying.
*We take great care in the very careful packaging of your purchases. We try to be environmentally sound and will use clean, recycled materials where appropriate.
*We work hard to dispatch your items promptly, and to get the item to you safely (please see our feedback & comments).
*We generally use 2nd Class Royal Mail postage by default. The reason for this is that they are a longstanding company, providing an excellent and timely service. Higher cost purchases (i.e. above £20 or so) are generally sent signed for.
*Contact us if you want the cost for a Royal Mail expedited service - for deliveries within the UK (e.g. next day Special delivery, Tracked, Signed for).
*We will combine postage on multiple purchases within the UK, wherever possible. EBays checkout should let us know, but please also contact us if that is required; as we will need to send you a revised invoice before you pay.
?We use EBays own Global Shipping Programme (GSP) for purchases by buyers from abroad. Currently this does not allow for combined postage on multiple purchases. We know it is expensive, but it really does seem to do the best job so far. We have successfully sold and delivered many items across the globe: particularly to Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia and Asia (including Japan).

Also, rather than leaving negative, or even neutral feedback, please get in touch with us first. We will always reply as quickly as possible, with an answer to your concern or enquiry.
*To this end, if there ever is a problem regarding loss or damage during shipping (N.B.: this is extremely rare), or a request for returns, etc, then please do contact us first. There is no need for disputes or complaints. We are very fair minded, always keen to sort things out and, most importantly, love happy customers. We genuinely want to help wherever we can....life is too short...
